The Profiles in Leadership lectures will begin in the Fall of 2010 and include at least five major presentations over the course of the academic year on contemporary and historical leaders by campus, mid-Missouri, and visiting scholars. The lectures are designed to bring together Westminster students, faculty, and staff along with residents of the Fulton/Callaway community for an evening of education and fellowship. Each lecture will be followed by a question & answer session and a reception complete with refreshments.
The inaugural lecture overlapped with the lecture by Professor Roland Quinnault on Sir Winston Churchill...a fitting beginning to the series. Later in the fall semester, Professor Tobias Gibson of Westminster's Department of Political Science will present on the leadership style of President Harry S. Truman. Three more Profiles in Leadership will take place during the Spring 2011 semester -- one each in February, March and April.
